English blazon wanted

Origin/meaning

Plaidt originally consisted of nine farms and seven mills. Hence the symbol of an ear of corn and a millstone. The stone quarry tools are taken from an old community seal from 1796. These stone tools indicate the stone industry (basalt and tuff), which can be traced back to Roman times.

The red cross in silver indicates that the area historically belonged to the State of Trier. The silver bend in the green field indicates the Nette, which flows through the villages and fields.
