SCHWALMTAL

State : Nordrhein-Westfalen
District (Kreis) : Viersen (kreis) (until 1974 Kempen-Krefeld)
Additions : 1970 Amern, Waldniel

Wappen von Schwalmtal (Nordrhein-Westfalen)/Arms (crest) of Schwalmtal (Nordrhein-Westfalen)
Official blazon
German blazon wanted
English blazon wanted

Origin/meaning

The arms were granted on April 8, 1971.

The arms are a combination of elements from older arms of both towns. St.Michael is the patron saint of Waldniel. The left part of the arms shows the arms of the Lords of Amern, known since 1267.
