District (Kreis) : Südwestpfalz

Wappen von Verbandsgemeinde Rodalben/Arms (crest) of Verbandsgemeinde Rodalben
Official blazon
German In rotem Schildbord in Gold ein rotbewehrter roter Greif.
English blazon wanted

Origin/meaning

The arms were granted on December 14, 1978.

Most villages in the Verbandsgemeinde historically belonged to the Amt Gräfenstein of the Duchy of Baden. The seals of the Amt showed the canting griffin (Greif), which was also the supporter of the Baden arms. The griffin is also used by the capital of the Verbandsgemeinde, Rodalben. The arms thus show the griffin in the colours of Baden. These colours are identical to the colours of the county Hanau-Lichtenstein, to which the village Donsieders belonged. The bordure is a symbol for a Verbandsgemeinde.
