44TH INFANTRY DIVISION PREPARED IN ALL THINGS DIVISION, USA

History: Formed in 1924 with units from New York and New Jersey. The Delawere Units orginaly planned to be part of the Division was never assigned. The Division was deactivated in 1945. Reactivated in 1946 with Units of the Illinois Army National Guard and deactivated in 1954.
