Shoulder Sleeve Insignia: Red and black are the school’s colors. The school mascot is a mounted knight, reflecting the school nickname “Auburn Knights”. The knight symbolizes the cadets’ dedication to duty and loyalty as citizens.
Shoulder Loop Insignia: The color green and the evergreen tree indicate the nickname of Rockford, the “FOREST CITY”. The wavy bar symbolizes the Rock River which runs through the city of Rockford.
The Shoulder Sleeve Insignia was approved on 5 April 1993. The Shoulder Loop Insignia was approved on 5 December 1984.
