Official blazon

In Blau über drei weissen Wellen gelbes Fährschiff, überhöht von fünfstrahligem weissem Stern.

Origin/meaning

The arms were adopted on June 13, 1953 and confirmed on December 6, 1983 and October 14, 2002.

The waves symbolise the Rhein river, the boat the ferry to Hauenstein (Germany) and the star is derived from the arms of Aargau.
