English | blazon wanted |
Origin/meaning
The bordure symbolises the tower/fortress and is also canting for the first part of the name. The green colour symbolises the agricultural character of the municipality. The main shield shows the arms of the De Penne family, former lords of the village.
The oak leaf symbolises the majestic oak in the village; the horse head and lily flower symbolise St. Martin of Tours and St. Anne respectively. The cross is taken from the arms of the département.
