Origin/meaning
These arms have been officially granted on 26th March 1997.
The arms show the local castle (11th century), that belonged to the Cerveras (the two deers at each side, Gules on Argent, are taken from the canting arms of this family) and, since 1261, to the order of the Hospitallers, represented here by the cross of Malta.
