Amt (until 2007) : Nordjylland
Incorporated into : 1968 Nørresundby (1970 Aalborg)

Arms of Sundby-Hvorup

Origin/meaning

The arms were registered in 1951.

The arms show two bells as a symbol for the two parishes in the municipality. The wheel symbolises the industry in the town and the waves symbolise the Limfjord, on which the municipality borders.

Literature: Achen, 1982; Zeuthen, 2000
