Arms of Svinninge

Origin/meaning

The arms were officially registered in 1968.

The arms show three wheat-ears, one for each of the former municipalities. They also indicate the agricultural character of the municipality. The base shows a burning tree trunk, which is a canting element; the old word svide means to burn wood to create new agricultural land.
