Coat of arms (crest) of the Royal Naval Reserve Palatine, Royal Navy

History: Based at Preston 1949-1992.

Official blazon
English Whit; in front of a roundel per fess wavy crested a sword proper pommel and hilt gold enfiled with a coronet also gold.

Origin/meaning

The Sword alludes to the County Palatine and the wavelet to the River Ribble on whith Preston stands. The Badge was approved in 1984.
