NO 1846 SQUADRON, FAA

History: First formed in 1944 at Naval Air Station Brunswick, Maine, USA as a Vought Corsair Fighter Squadron. Disbanded in 1946.

English Blue; in base barry wavy of four white and blue a scimitar in pale winged white hilted gold.

Motto: To the swift the race

Origin/meaning

Scimitars was used by Corsairs and allude to the Arcraft used by the Squadron. The Badge was approved in 1946.
