CHAMPGENÉTEUX

Département : Mayenne

Blason de Champgenéteux/Arms (crest) of Champgenéteux
Official blazon
French D'azur semé de fleurs de genêts d'or, à la montagne d'argent, brochante.
English blazon wanted

Origin/meaning

The arms were officially adopted on October 9, 1999.

The mountain indicates that the village is on a elevated level (hill) in the area. The azure represents the Aron river which crosses the municipal territory. This color is also the main color of Maine, of which Champgenéteux is a part.

The broom flowers takes up the explanation of the name of the village which means "the place covered with broom".
