NAVATA
Region : Catalonia
Province : Girona
English | blazon wanted |
Origin/meaning
The arms were officially granted on April 28, 1993.
The keys of St. Peter are the attributes of the local patron saint, and the chess rook Azure fimbriated Or is taken from the canting arms of the Rocabertí family, the barons of Navata since 1249. The baron's crown at the top of the arms explains that the town was the centre of a barony.
