VILLARS-LUSSERY
Canton : Vaud
Incorporated into : 1999 Lussery-Villars
Official blazon
Coupé au 1 d'argent semé de billettes de sable, au lion naissant du même, lampassé de gueules; au 2 de sable à trois barres d'argent.
Origin/meaning
The arms were officially adopted in 1926.
The upper part is taken from the arms of the Gingins family, a branch of which possessed Lussery in the seventeenth and eighteenth centuries. The lower half is taken from arms found on a house in the village at the time. The origin is not known.
