Origin/meaning

The arms were approved on 9 May 1958. The Sheaf is from the Seal of the Hundred of Halmstad. The Crossbow has since the end of the 1920ies used by the Harplinge
Local- and Ancient Memorial Association. The wavy chief symbolises the location by the Sea. The Coat of Arms was designed by the Sculptor Erik Nilsson from Harplinge.
