Origin/meaning
The arms are canting. Andriessen means "son of Andries". The "Andries" is represented by the small cross of St. Andrew, the "son" is represented by the label. The colours Gules and Or are taken from the arms of the Belgian city of Mechelen where the armiger grew up while Azure and Or are sourced from the arms of the village of Wilrijk, the armiger's current residence.
