SEINI

District/county (județ) : Maramureș

Stema Seini

Official blazon

Origin/meaning

The arms were officially granted on March 23, 2016.

The bunch of grapes is part of the seal of the locality, dating from the eighteenth century, but also one of the most important occupations of the inhabitants, viticulture.

The base represents the fortress of Zeynir, one of the most important fortresses in northwestern Transylvania during the Middle Ages, being an important fair in the area.

The mural crown with three crenellated towers means that the town has the status of a city.
