Official blason

I fält av silver en stormhatt över tvåkorslagda muskötgafflar, allt i blått.

Origin/meaning

The arms were granted in 1939 and registered in 1974.

The arms are based on the oldest seal of the city, dating from 1624. The military symbols symbolise that at the time the city's largest industry was the production of guns. The arms were continued after the mergers in the 1960s for the new municipality.
