Punaisessa kentässä tyvestä nouseva käsijousella ampuva mies, karvalakki päässä, kirves vyöllä; kaikki hopeaa.

Origin/meaning

The arms were officially granted on April 20, 1953.

The arms are derived from the seal of the town of Brahea from 1669. The town was short-lived and was situated in the present Lieksa municipality.
