Origin/meaning
These arms have not been officially granted.
The beaver is a representative emblem of the people of the municipality; symbol of dynamism and ardeous work.
The Two Trillims symbolise the English and French cultures of Ontario. The Fleur de lys represents the francophone people which is the larger population group in the municipality.
The Barn in the center of the crest, is the significant theme and symbolises the farming community of the municipality.
The Water Waves at the bottom of the coat of arms represent the three branches of the Castor river which crosses the municipality. The motto Pax et Prosperitas is Latin for "Peace and Prosperity"
