Origin/meaning

The arms were adopted on January 23, 1940.

The arms show a blue circle, taken from the arms of the Counts of Lenzburg, and a crown taken from the arms of the Schänis Abbey. Count Arnold von Lenzburg gave his possessions around Bilten to the Abbey in around 1178.
