Province : Møre og Romsdal
Additions : 1964 Straumsnes

Arms of Tingvoll
Official blazon
Norwegian

I sølv fem grønne eikeblad i rosett.

English blazon wanted

Origin/meaning

The arms were granted on September 7, 1984.

The arms show 5 oak leaves, one for each of the villages in the municipality : Tingvoll, Straumsnes, Gyl, Torhjulvågen and Meisingset. The oak leaves are chosen as a symbol for the municipality as Norway's northernmost oak forests can be found in the municipality.

Literature: Norwegian Municipal Network and Norske Kommunevåpen, Kommunalforlaget, 1987.
