HRANITNE (Гранітне)

Region (Oblast): Donetsk

Coat of arms (crest) of Hranitne
Official blazon
Ukrainian blazon wanted
English blazon wanted

Origin/meaning

The arms were adopted on July 16, 1998.

Hranitne is founded by Greek settlers in the 18th century, which is symbolised by the bar with Greek-style decorations. The upper half shows the date of the foundation of the town. The mountain and river symbolise the geographical situation. The base shows a sheep and green colour, symbols of agriculture.
