Origin/meaning

The arms were granted on May 26, 1979.

The arms use the tincture of the Styrian arms, silver and green. "Schlag" is a Rodungsname, meaning "place of clearing". The partition of the shield is to represent this. The wolf charge appears at Thalberg castle.
