KIIKOINEN
Region : Pirkanmaa (until 2013 Satakunta)
Former province : Länsi-Suomi (until 1997 Turku and Pori)
Incorporated into : 2013 Sastamala
Official blazon
Kultakentässä nouseva, musta, punakielinen pukki, jonka kaulassa hihnastaan riippuva, hopeinen tuohikontti.
Origin/meaning
The arms were officially granted on May 3, 1954.
The goat refers to the old nickname of the village, Kuttukappeli, or Goat-chapel. The birch-bark bag was a symbol for the many day-workers in the area in previous times.
