  • (fi) Sinisessä kentässä Pyhä Olavi istumassa valtaistuimella pidellen valtakunnanomenaa ja sotakirvestä, kaikki kultaa.

Origin/meaning

The arms were officially granted on November 21, 1947.

The arms show St. Olof, the patron saint of the Åland islands as well as the Jomala church since the 13th century. The arms are based on a seal of the Åland islands from 1326.
