Escudo de Siurana

Official blazon

Origin/meaning

These arms have been officially granted on 28th November 1996.

The arms show the local castle (13th century), in the county of Empúries. At the 15th century it belonged to the family Senesterra, and at the end of the 17th century the village formed a royal council. The wavy partition reminds the former pools of Siurana, drained off at present day.
