Écartelé: au 1er de gueules à la lettre V capitale d'or, au 2e de sinople à la fontaine jaillissant d'un rocher sur lequel est perchée une grive, le tout d'argent, au 3e de même contourné, au 4e de gueules à saint Pierre tenant dans sa senestre une clé contournée, le tout d'or; sur le tout, de gueules à la croix cléchée, vidée et pommetée de douze pièces d'or.
Origin/meaning
The V in the first quarter is the Roman digit 5 and represents the Quint (5) part of the name. The second and third quarter show the sacred fountain (Fons Sacriva) and thus are canting for Fonsegrives. The fourth quarter shows St. Peter, the local patron saint. The inescutcheon shows the cross of the Languedoc/Occitane region.
