Lit kommunvapen

Official blason

I grönt fält en gående tjur av silver med röd beväring, därest dylik skall komma till användning, och nosring samt ovanför tjuren tre av vågskuror bildade förhöjda, bjälkvis ställda kavlar.

Origin/meaning

The arms were officially granted on March 5, 1948.

The bull is taken from the seal of the local district court from the 17th century. The three wavy bars represent the Indalsälven, Långan and Hårkan rivers in the municipality.
