Escudo de vermelho, uma espada e um alfange quebrado, ambos de prata, com os punhos de ouro e passados em aspa; em chefe, cruz da Ordem de São João de Jerusalém, dita de Malta. Coroa mural de prata de três torres. Listel branco com a legenda a negro: “ ALDOAR - PORTO “.

Origin/meaning

The arms were officially granted on April 22, 1997.

The cross in the arms is the cross of the Maltese Knights, who had a castle in the area. The sword and scimitar are symbols of the battle between the Christian knights and the Arabs.
