Origin/meaning
Palfau is in the middle of the Austrian Alps and has throughout of hundreds of years been living from the woods around it. The people there were lumberjacks and cutted the trees for the purpose of coal made out of the wood in a near village called Großreifling. Therefore the axe is clear.
