Province (Landskap): Skåne
County (Län): Malmöhus län
Additions : 1952 Baldringe, Borrie, Bromma, Hedeskoga, Högestad, Stora Herrestad, Stora Köpinge, Sövestad, Öja
Incorporated into : 1970 Ystad
Official blason
I blått fält en fyrkantsharv med två vertikala och tre horisontella stockar, de senare med vardera fyra pinnar, samt däröver en krona, allt av guld.
Origin/meaning
The arms were adopted in 1958, but never officially granted.
The arms are based on the seal of the area from 1524 and show a canting harrow (herv, from the older name Hervestad), which is also a symbol for the agricultural character of the municipality. The origin of the crown is not known.
