MAÎCHE
Département : Doubs
Official blazon
D'azur au chevron d'argent accompagné d'une roue d’engrenage d'or en chef à dextre, d'un fer à cheval du même posé en barre à senestre et d'une rose d'or en pointe ; à la bordure d’azur chargée de dix-huit besants d'or.
Origin/meaning
The arms were adopted on May 3, 1960.
The town has adopted the arms of the Guyot-Malseigne de Maiche family, Lords of Miche, to which were added a gearwheel to symbolise the watch industry and a horseshoe for the 'Maîche' horse (a special breed).
