Brasão de Armação de Pêra

Official blazon

Escudo de prata, com uma rede de negro e brocando, um barco de azul, mastreado do mesmo, realçado de ouro e vermelho; em chefe, cruz solta de vermelho, maçanetada de doze bolotas de ouro com casculhos de verde; em ponta, uma pêra de verde, folhado do mesmo. Coroa mural de prata de quatro torres. Listel branco com a legenda a negro, em maiúsculas : " ARMAÇÃO DE PÊRA ".

Origin/meaning

The arms were officially granted on February 15, 2000.

The boat and the fishing net both symbolise the importance of fishing for the parish. The criss is the symbol of St. Anthony, the local patron saint. The pear (pêra) is a canting element.
