Département : Haute-Vienne
Official blazon
Motto: Jocundiacum palatium
Origin/meaning
The arms are divided in green and red to symbolise nature/agriculture and industry. The castle is the local castle, known from around 1000. The cross pattée refers to the Knights Templar, to which the town belonged for a long period of time.
The water mill wheel refers to the local paper mills of Puy Moulinier (known from the 17th century) and the cogwheel to the rubber factories. The base shows the Vienne river.
