County (Län): Östergötlands län
Additions : 1952 Flistad, Ljung, Stjärnorp

Official blazon
I fält av guld en genomgående svart ruta, belagd med en av silver och rött kontrakomponerad balk.
Origin/meaning

The arms show a square (female) shield for the former Cistercian convent (kloster) of Vreta, which was Sweden's oldest convent. The bend is the typical bend of the Cistercian order.
