Region : Keski-Suomi
Former province : 1997-2009 Länsi-Suomi, 1960-1997 Keski-Suomi
Official blazon
Punaisessa kentässä hopeinen, ankkuriristin muotoinen lukonhela, keskellä avaimenreikä.
Origin/meaning
The arms were granted on July 16, 1953.
The arms show a keyhole in a cross, which indicates that the village was on the crossroads and was known as the Gate to Ostrobothnia. The historical and modern roads to Ostrobothnia run through the village.
