WERNSTEIN AM INN

State : Oberösterreich
District : Schärding

Arms of Wernstein am Inn

Official blazon

Origin/meaning

The arms were officially granted on June 9, 1980.

The arms combine elements of two important families. The two winged lions are taken from the arms of the Schmelzing family, Lords of Wernstein and Zwickledt. The three blocks are taken from the arms of the Counts of Sinzendorf-Neuburg.

The wavy bar symbolises the Inn river.
