Origin/meaning
The pale with two Parachutes symbolises Airborne support. The nebuly fesses symbolises the Sky and the unlimited reach of the Battalion.The Crest symbolises Support and the Republic of Vietnam Cross of Gallantry awarded the Battalion for service in 1968-1969.
The Shield was approved 19 Decemeber 1968 and the Crest was added on 8 May 1997.
