I fält av guld från en av vågskura bildad stam av silver uppskjutande svart krenelerad portbyggnad med krenelerade, på snedsträvor vilande skyttegångar och med två krenelerade torn, vartdera avslutat med en kupol, krönt med en lilja.
Origin/meaning
The arms were officially granted on June 30, 1953.
The arms show the Lödösehus castle, residence of the former Duke Erik Magnusson. The base shows the Göta älv river.
