State : Vorarlberg

Origin/meaning
The arms were officially granted on December 9, 1970.
The arms show the former Alt-Montfort castle in the municipality, with the banner of the (very influential) Montfort family. The castle was destroyed in 1405. The Montfort banner also appears in the arms of the State of Vorarlberg.
