Origin/meaning

The arms were granted on April 23, 1990.

The local church is dedicated to St Helena, mother of the emperor Constantine. According to tradition, she rediscovered the True Cross during a pilgrimage to Jerusalem. The trefoils of clover are taken from a local family of squires.
