Origin/meaning

The arms were adopted in 1979 and show in the first and fourth quarter the arms of the Chapter of Arras; in the second quarter the arms of the Anchin Abbey and in the third quarter the arms of the Mont-Saint-Éloi Abbey. The Chapter of Arras held most of the area in the present municipality, but the two abbeys also had several privileges and properties.
