Origin/meaning
The arms are designed in 1979 and granted on July 24, 2000.
The arms show a canting red mountain (Mont Roig in Catalan). On top of the mountain is a fleur-de-lis, symbol of St. Mary, as on the top of the mountain is the chapel of la Mare de Déu de la Roca (meaning Our Lady on the Rock).
