Origin/meaning

The arms were officially adopted on June 29, 2002.

The color of the shield and the wheatear symbolize the agricultural character of the municipality. The rose is taken from the arms of the Poraj Kobielskie family - former owners of a part of the village of Kobiele. The open book and pen symbolize the work of the author Władysław Reymont, who was born in Kobiele Wielki.
