RONA

Canton : Graubünden
Incorporated into : 2008 Tinizong-Rona (2015 Surses)

Wappen von Rona / Arms of Rona

Official blazon

Schrägrechts geteilt von Silber und Schwarz, in Silber ein schwarzer, rot bewehrter springender Steinbock; in Schwarz ein silbernes Antoniuskreuz.

Origin/meaning

The arms are a combination of the symbol of St. Anthony, the patron saint of the village, a Tau-cross, or T, and the arms of the Gotteshaus-alliance. The canton of Graubünden is historically a combination of three alliances, one being the Gotteshaus-alliance to which Rona belonged.
