SANKT MAREIN IM MÜRZTAL
State : Steiermark
District : Bruck-Mürzzuschlag (until 2015 Bruck an der Mur)
Additions : 2015 Frauenberg
Official blazon
In einem grün-gold schräglinks geteilten Schild oben eine silberne Lilie und unten ein schräglinks gestelltes Sägeblatt.
Origin/meaning
The arms were granted on July 25, 1968.
The arms contain a reference to Our Lady (St. Marein = dialect for St. Mary), the fleur-de-lis. The saw-blade illustrates the wood industry in the municipality.
The green and silver colour in the upper half are the colours of Steiermark. The lower golden colour refers to the richness of the municipality.
