Origin/meaning

The arms were adopted in October 1988.

The hill symbolises the local hills, the hill is shown as a wall as a symbol for the many castles and stately homes in the area.The sun is the symbol for the Montjay castle (jolly hill) and the thorn branch the fortified farm of Epoisses (= place covered with thorns).

The red colour is the colour of the Brie region, the blue bar the Ancoeur river.
