The arms were officially adopted in November 2020.
The boxwood branches refer to the first part of the name of the town (buis = boxwood) and the lying doe to the second part (repos = resting).
The sword is the attribute of Saint Martin, the local patron saint, and the waves symbolize the Little Morin river in the municipality.
